First off I'd like to say this is one of the best localized sites I've seen. I have been reading threads on this board for quite some time now and figured it was time to join up. I was feeling a bit like a peeping tom! Anyhow I hope my joining isn't seen as another out of towner or worse yet another out of stater trying to scalp info on Pa waters.
I grew up on the NJ coast and started fly fishing at 17 or so chasing stripers and bluefish and then started to venture in Pa for better trout waters. Now I unfortunately live in Ohio and there are only 3 somewhat decent trout fisheries. All of which are put and take. So like anyone with bugs on the brain I turn to Pa to get my trout fix. What really got me to sign up was an older thread on a certain stream in a certain area that I'm sure anyone with an interest in fly fishing's history has dreamt of. I found the thread to be the most informative I've read on this stream. The difference in opinions as well as the way they were conveyed, without harsh arguments, makes me wish there were more folks in Ohio with the passion and respect as was shown in the thread. Anyhow I just wanted to say hello and let the folks here know where I was coming from. Its not my intention to crowd or steal spots but to learn more about an area steeped in fly fishing tradition and history.

From one NJ native to another, welcome. I have been in PA for 17 years now and realize just how blessed I am to live in this state as compared to others that border it here on the east coast. The state parks and public lands are really phenominal.
Again, welcome. Official membership has its privileges. There are some very helpful and good-natured people on this site. I really need to get to a jam someday and meet more face-to-face.
