My wife will be gone Saturday and i have been trying to figure where to go. I think I might hit Clarks on Sunday if i can with Spectorfly, he wasent sure if he could get out this weekend. Slaymaker might hit Penns this weekend and i havent been there in a very long time. I think its time for me to revisit Penns.

So.......anyone wanna met and fish? I dont have any digital pictures of Penns Creek and havent met most you guys. Lets catch some trout

We can use this post to put pictures up of the day.

If you decide to head east rather than north, I'd be interested in meeting up with you.

Its always possible

There are still plenty of Limestoners i need to fish in the east. One in particular comes to mind.......ahem trow and LL

I still say though that conditions for that little gem has to be high water. That stream might be one of the spookiest and clear in the state. I had never seen such a wonderful mix of wild, stocked and holdover trout. Rainbows breeding and sharing a hole with wild and stocked browns and a brookie the size of a tanker ship. Out of the hundreds of fish i saw i barely managed to catch any. All i could do was sit and do the long wait (like an hour) and fish right over top of them. Hard stream.

Load with scuds for sure

Oh I know there's plenty more to the area, and it's some of the best around.

I just wouldn't plan on spending all too much time with penns herself. I'd love to come, but have trouble doing two weekends in a row.

I would think with all the high water the only thing that would work would be a rolaid or pepto pill

Well, if you feel like fishing that "one" or any for that matter, let me know if you would like some company. I don't care how cold it is, I need to get out.

Yeah, but I would say that if I were in your shoes with the baby, I'd be out there fishing the flooded street by the feathered hook if that's what I had to fish.

Skip Penns this time of year when the weather turns even colder as it will this weekend. That's kinda like taking Pam Anderson on a skiing date. The date would be way more pleasant if you took her to the beach. Capice?

I never was into Pam Anderson anyways, not my type of girl for sure

i fished last night for about 2hrs maybe , the small clear streams are a great window of opportunity right now , i only landed two browns of the half dozen or so i had on , water was fast , alot big rocks and way above average size fish made it tough , couldn't horse em too bad with the 4wt and 5x , i know its a little light for a streamer but it was late and cold when i got there and i wasn't wasting time tying a blood knot at that point , it is gonna be cold this weekend but it will still be good!
