SNJ , I sure hope you can produce them. This thread has suddenly grown very interesting. I wasn't aware of any salt running trout other than coaster brookies on the east coast. I am totally fascinated, totally. Exciting. - note they say how tight lipped those that catch are...

they stocking 15,000 browns in tidal waters per yer.

this was caught at Belmar NJ in the surf on clams in May 2011,

there is also a sea run fishery on long island, which due to the break on fire island due to Sandy and the resulting rejuvenation of the bay may well result in a world class fishery this or next winter ( once the two winter fish return) ... fm?i=185&e=3&s=334&a=2897

sea run browns are different to salmon in that they don't migrate offshore, but hang around bays, estauries and in shore reefs until the blue fish turn up and run em back into the rivers.

I took this photo of a framed photograph (inside a display case) of Joe Humphrey's 34", 16lb, Brown Trout that is displayed at the PA Fly Fishing Museum Association. Cumberland Valley Trout Unlimited has most of their meetings at this location.

The Museum display is a MUST SEE!

Additionally, I have a color photo of the same fish that I had seen before on the internet.

That is a heck of a trout! Thanks for posting. Those vintage pics are neat regardless of fish size too.
