Now that the spring hatches are just about over - first thing I will usually try is a crowe beetle, and will likley be "the fly" for the rest of the year.

+1 for the olive wollybugger. That or any kind of olive streamer. The only time I don't have good luck w streamers is in really low water conditions w stockies.

Size 14 BH Bugger - Black with some flash tied in. Nymph it, swing it, strip it, dap it, dance it...it all works.

My go to rig is a dropper with a BH prince nymph on top and a red brassie on the bottom

Usually start with an olive #10 bunny leech, unless real low water. Second fly would be an olive caddis pupae tied off bend of leech.

A white bugger, only been fly fishing for about a year, but I would have to say a large percentage of the fish I have caught were on some type of white bugger.

I'd have to say a black woolly bugger. Next would be a prince nymph and I'll often tie that off the hook of the bugger. I have tons of confidence in either fly and that double fly setup.

Well usually a royal wulff with a thunb stuck on it or a stimulator. This past week it was a GD stimmy. Worked great.
