I was doing some searching and came across these ZYZ Reels. Does anyone have any experience with them? I did a quick search of the forum here and came up empty...

I know...made in China...but that aside, any thoughts? They have a couple that might pair up nicely with my white fiberglass Kabuto that is being built now.

Thanks for any input.

sorry, only trying to help!

Just messin' Biker. They are really nice looking reels. I don't think West Slope carries them anymore so they are a little trickier to come by but they're around.

op, they're junk. as are pretty much any von hofe reel that's "affordable." if you're really hung up on the look, try ballan for lower cost options.

ZYZ reels are made in China. The earliest round of reels were apparently a bit shabby. However, the gentleman who is currently running the company (Mr. Zhu, i believe) is putting out a very nice product. The reels are both mechanically solid and very nice looking. Their price seems to be rising, however. Reels from the far east are not necessarily junk just because they are made overseas. They are certainly not Stan Bogdan reels, but there also going for $210! Speaking of the far east, Kineya reels are made by the Japanese are, by all accounts some of the finest reels ever made!

I would trust Gfen on this one.
