I have a copper one in their size 1.4 (3-5 wt). I also have a spare spool for it. I have them lined for my shorter 3 and 4 weight rods. The drag is smooth and very adjustable. I have a number of Ross reels and they've been very dependable - nice looking too. I've had to use their customer service and it's first rate.

I have a CLA #4 that I use on a 7 wt. for bass and saltwater (Redfish & Stripers). It has worked well with no problems. I have 4 Ross reels and they are a good value.

I have one for my 8wt and 9wt. It is a great reel if you can get it on sale. Full price I would look at something else. The okuma I have is evry bit as good and 1/2 as much
