Removeable fighting butt.

Anyone know of an aftermarket add-on fighting butt? I found this one at Cableas http://www.cabelas.com/prod-1/0011156318431a.shtml Anyone with experience with one of these?

I'd like to have the option of a fighting butt on a 6 wt.

looks like it should work how are you on rod work or will you have someone do it.

Thanks for your input Sandfly. I have no experience with rod building or repair, but I'm reasonably handy. Maybe I'll get the part and just try to work up the nerve to do it myself. I can always get help if I chicken out.

I have seen removable fighting butts that slide over the existing end cap. If my memory serves me it was like $10.

Nothing asthetic, but it is functional.
