Liquipel?

It would nice to be able to use my cell phone as an on water camera, but I have been reluctant to do this for fear that it will accidentally be an in the water camera. The product in the link may solve this. Anyone tried Liquipel?

just saw this last night myself. a couple phones of mine have taken a swim while fishing, so i want it...but it almost seems too good to be true.

curious to see how it does and/or how long it lasts.

I just looked at the website. A few things, first, they don't do every type of phone. Second, you need to send it to them to have it done and finally, it's kind of expensive. And you pay to ship it to them on top of the $59 cost.

Just my wacky thoughts.

I use an OverBoard waterproof case on my phone. The camera and phone work through the case.

To several of the people above: First off the $59+ shipping isn't bad compared to my Life Case for the Iphone 4 that ran $80 plus tax. The case also protects against shock (drops), but it adds bulk. Had this been out before I got my case I would strongly consider it. For the $2 fix, I don't know how well that would allow you to use your phone through it? My case and the liquipel are completely usable whilst being waterproof.

I would have no problem sending my phone away for 2 days, it wouldn't be the end of the world. The technology/company is new so it will take some time for a reputation to be built up, it is just like any other new company out there. It will be great to see how this coating holds up, I am extremely interested in hearing more about it.

Just ordered this on eBay. How do you like it? Seems a little big but as often as I fish Penns, I usually swim at least once a year. I do take my iPhone 4 in my pocket and it's probably only a matter of time til I'd regret that.
