I've been interested in a kayak so I searched the forum and found that a very promising kayak was the Perception Pescador which I found out was the rebadged Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120 at about 1/2 the price. They are available at Gander Mt but are now listed as "New", as if they style has changed and they are new and improved. Does anyone know if they have changed and perhaps inferior to the original?

I realized that was a difficult question to throw out there so I called Perception directly, and a very pleasant southern gal informed me that the Pescador has not been changed at all. It's the same boat as always but maybe Gander has it as a "new" item in their inventory.

I know it's not a fishing kayak but my wife and I just bought 2 from Dunhams at a huge discount. Originally $330 and got them for $170. We walked out of the store with two kayaks, PFD's, and paddles for under $500.

The kayaks are Future Beach wide bottom with two storage places and two cup holders. They have a comfort formed seat that's padded and adjustable foot rest.

IMHO the best fishing kayak is the NuCanoe Frontier. Most versatile and stable SOT Yak on the market. Its a little pricey and might be hard to find a dealer but it is the one I will get when I have the money. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SruvUYMCvk

Not that hard.....Sandy/Sandfly is a dealer! I believe.

12 ft processor angler $599, 10 ft $499, 12 ft processor sport $549

The big three (Seat comfort and back support) (Stability Wider is better but also heavier)(Storage how much stuff do you need)
