Has anyone ever fished any of the lines that are made for cold water fishing? I was having trouble today with the fly line get hard( insert jokes here) and not wanting to cast!

Cortland's "Classic Sylk" flyline is a good flyline for cold water fishing. It stays supple and casts relatively easy in cold weather.

What he said! SYLK is all I fish in the winter just for that reason. Zero memory.

Good Luck!

Actually, now that I think about it, the line I got from Allen casted really well over the weekend and it was REALLY cold.

any of the soft cheaper line works better than a good line in cold weather because of the propertys. I always used cortland 333's and rio mainstreams in the cold. sylk is another good winter line.

And you can get you a nice cane rod to go with the Sylk Alpa!
