I would like to have a10ft 4wt rod for my tip out West this year.

Any recommendations?

I like a fairly stiff rod and hopefully it will come in 4 0r 5 pieces

price range not that important

Hey me too. I took Eric Stroups nymphing class at the Lancaster Fly Fishing show and thats exactly what he recommends for high stick nymphing. I just built my first rod over the winter and was thinking of building a 10 footer also. So if anyone has any recommendations for a good blank....

I love my greys streamflex in that range.

Sage One, Sage ZAxis, Hardy/Greys Streamflex probabaly the best bet not sure if you can get blanks in all these.

Hey Tom,

I have a Helios2 10' 4wt that you can try out. I use it for nymphing, and it works well for big water out-west or on the D for both dries or nymphs. PM me.

ditto on the greys, gonna try mine out this weekend

I have an Orvis Clearwater 10' 4 wt. It's a a good rod for the price, but its more of a medium action.

if u want a fast rod in a 10' 4 look at either the helios 2 or the access but should fit ur needs
