Anyone had a chance to cast these in an 8' 4 or 5 wt and what did you think about them for general PA trout fishing?

Thanks a lot for your input

They are nice. Not as fast as what you may expect from a rod at this price, but good rods for sure. Entirely sufficent for almost any trout fishing you'd find in PA.

The zlx was sages medium-fast action rod - it wasn't desiged as fast action. They are a very nice all purpose trout rod and will fish the majority of pa streams fine. If the majority of your fishing is done in the 15 to 40 foot range, this rod would be perfect. But you need to cast one to see if you like it.

Thanks guys
I think the 5 wt will be more all purpose - i do have a longer 6 wt and shorter 4 and 3 wts for more specialized situations but wanted something that i could use on 90% of the pa streams. my old sage GFL 7.5' 5 wt has been broken twice and seen better days - it is 28 yrs old though.
Thanks again
