Yep its a cheap vise. Slay was nice enough to loan this to me when mine broke. Since then its probably had over 300 ties go across it and its still going strong.

Sometimes its not having what you want but wanting what you have.

I hear ya. I just got rid of my frankenvise. I bought a Terra rotary vice and thought it was great, but was just gifted a ton of material and a regal vice. I don't think I will ever own anything else but a regal not. I think it is the most well crafted piece of fly fishing equipment I own, and I couldn't beat the price!
