Thanks for the help. I went with the Regal with stainless steel jaws and am very happy with my choice.

I too have a question about vises is it better with a base or a clamp or is it all on personal preference?

I originally had a clamp now have a base. I would compare it to a desk top computer vs a lap top with wireless. Go with the base set up.

clamp for the majority of my tying ( feels more secure to me ) base for the travleing vice but yea its really a personal thing you pretty much have to try both to see what you like better
