Very nice, even if the fly's namesake was one of the great a--h---s of American History.
It's also only the 2nd one I've ever seen. I own the first one. I got seriously crap faced at the evening banquet at a state TU meeting in Williamsport in '87 or '88 and don't remember much about the auction. I do remember waking up the next morning with a raging hangover and ungluing my eyelids far enough to see a Don Bastian shadow box of Carrie Stevens streamers and a credit card receipt for 75 bucks sitting on the chair next to the bed. I think that was when I went in the bathroom and got sick.
Ah, youth...
But the years bring perspective and now I'm glad I bought it. At least I think I bought it. I don't really recall for certain. In any event, it now occupies a place of honor on our home office wall.
Nice fly.
