last year on a road with a big dropoff, a grouse made a very bad grouse decision in front of my car... I felt bad about hitting the grouse, but it was him or me..
I realized later that I was near a fly shop ... would a fly shop want a dead grouse? I wouldn't want money but could they use the feathers if it happens again?

It would not be legal unless it was grouse season and you were a licensed hunter. But even if it wasn't grouse season, I would be keeping those feathers for myself.
