Thanks, very much. I have so much to learn and every piece of knowledge I can get only helps.

It's a cool tie. What is it meant to imitate, or is it more of a stimulator type pattern?

Why for the fall? Either it is still too early, or they work in the Spring. That doesn't end until June 21.

they work here in the real well for the late season caddis that hatch. any thing with orange to rust color is good here in the fal. I tie a brown body, grizzly hackle orange tail woolly worm that works good swung.

Sandfly, you tie the breadcrust the way I learned from Solomon and Leiser's book. Published in 1977, so its not that modern :) No matter what you call it, its a nice pattern.

That's right and besides the hook is a very old one...so there Lou ya ole goat !
