I will find myself somewhat unexpectedly up in the Wilkes-Barre area Thursday and Friday of this week (14th and 15th, overnight 14th). I may have some hours in the late afternoon Thursday or Friday to go exploring. Are there any destinations that are say 45 minutes or less from Wilkes-Barre that are worth hitting? PMs are fine and I would normally do my own scouting, but given the late nature of this trip, I don't think I'll be able to pull a whole lot of planning off. Lackawanna maybe a possibility, but I'm more of a small stream type of person.
