I will be in White Deer hunting Nov 10 - 12 and want to do some fishing on the 11, any suggestions? Something within an hour ride.

Dear new2,
You are within an hour of dozens of streams if you are in White Deer Union County. Penns, Spring, and Big Fishing Creek are easily within one hour. If I were you I'd pay attention to the approaching storm scheduled for mid week. Another big dose of rain on saturated ground will render most larger streams unfishable for another week as the water recedes more slowly this time of year. Regards, Tim Murphy

When I lived in Jersey Shore, Pa, a lot of people fished Rauchtown Creek which ran through Ravensbug State Park. It disappeared underground for a few miles and re-emerged as Antes Creek. Antes Creek ran for 5 miles to it's mouth near the big island at Jersey Shore. I wasn't a fisherman at the time but it was well known it the area for good fishing. It's maybe two exits west on I-80 from White Deer.
