Pine creek opened year round?

Is this new? I read pine creek is approved trout water open year round from about naval run to where little pine dumps in. This means I can go fish this stretch before the opening day provided I don't keep any trout?

Just looking for clarification that I am not reading this wrong. Is this new?

Yes it's new. It is also open from Blackwell to Slate Run, so if you include the DHALO, it's open from Blackwell to Waterville.

What Sal said, it passed last year and went into affect Jan. 1.

This post made me go look up which of the Tioga, Potter and Lyco streams are still open for fishing this weekend. My buddy and I have our plan in place for both days. So thanks for the heads up!

gonna be hard to fish here with all the off color and high water..

Oh I sincerely agree on the high and off colored water, but I am hoping some of the headwater mountain streams will be less colored. IWCW I will take my 5wt out and just swing buggers all day.
