Harrisburg Area

I have about a half day to fish on Thursday this week. I will be in the Harrisburg area and returning to NJ later that day. I hear Clarks Creek is not fishing well. Any ideas where I can chase some stream bred fish in that area and some good access points? PM is you do not want to spot burn. Thanks for any input.

I haven't been there recently so I'm not sure about conditions but yellow breeches isn't far

Fish the lower Juniata for smallmouth, the pre spawn action is mighty fine. Go to Riverfront campground, rent a kayak and get a shuttle upstream. Yellow and white streamers have worked for me.

If you want stream bread you need to fish non stocked streams. Letort,Fly only area on Big Spring,Falling Spring. The upper Breeches has wild fish but is stocked also. Yes these streams may get some fish but not normal stockings. Clarks has some wild fish but many are stocked as in the Breeches.
