Interesting article about efforts to control rainbows in Yellowstone.

It has to be done. I went to Yellowstone this year for the first time and didn't even come close to a native. There were extenuating circumstances, like bad weather preventing me from fishing the Yellowstone drainage, and park closing while we were there, but It’s a supposed natural environment, they’ve restored wolves to the park, it’s now time to restore the native fishes.

Can it be done at reasonable cost and effort?

BTW I am aware of some efforts to document back county trout populations. One of the guys in BCTU has participated and I don't think it is very strenuous. Might be worth checking out if interested.
