Thousands of fish have died in the upper Youghiogheny River after they were sucked through the Army Corps of Engineers' Youghiogheny Dam during a rapid drawdown of the reservoir that began last week...

I bet there was some interesting fishing during the initial part of this event before all the big trout were gorged on alewives.
 
Oof. That's sad.

Wonder if any of the walleye could have made it. It would be neat to catch one on a streamer.
 
Shame- but the critters are gonna have a windfall.

i caught one on a cougar once. Now that you mention it, it was nice! :-D
