Suspicious Dumping

The results will be interesting. He did the right thing there. Video documentation, got the trucks information, and a sample of the spilled fluid.

wsender................very cool , i hope you nail em to the wall , if more of us would make like wsender , we could really make a difference. Was there any stream around there? Please , take the time to keep your eyes open and document anything "funny" looking. This is the ultimate example of VIGILANCE. WAY TO GO!!!

o,

I wish I could say I filmed this. I'm glad someone did and that hopefully whoever is dumping will get in a pile of sh*t for this.

For those interested, I did a little searching and this appears to be the spot where it happened. You can see the pull off right in the middle of the frame.

I found it very helpful should I decide to go pull parts in NY.

Copy the whole url and you will get the right map. I zoomed out and it appears to be near Canonsburg PA.

good to see people policing things! I'd do the exact same thing if I saw something that didn't appear right.

I copied the whole link and pasted it in the addy bar...works fine..even has street view. I also noticed the comment..pretty funny. Yes, just north of the meadows race track and casino...

All we need to do is catch a few and throw them in jail and that will be the deterent that keeps most others from doing the same thing.
I didn't see a license plate on the truck.

I think a million dollar fine would be a good deterent. like pcray said in another post, we have to make it profitable for them to do it right, when they screw up, they must pay big time!
unfortunately, corbett and his cohorts all have thier hands out to the gas industry. I read where they want to ease up on regulations regarding drilling. look for the DEP to be told to look the other way regarding violations. it's gonna get ugly folks.

Ya, I didn't either but he has good video of the DOT number on side of the cab and the company logo and contact information. US DOT 1234235 K & M Equipment Co IFTA Truck #668.

It looks like developing information is that this was actually an approved area for the trucks to withdraw water to be used for fracking. The guy does mention that this is a water service area.

Sal......That video you put up shows up on you tube under the heading "Conemaugh river" I'm not real computer savvy , how could one go about finding out WHERE on the Conemaugh River that took place? The Conemaugh is and has been in real bad shape near Johnstown for a long , long time but farther upstream it has come back to the point that they are stocking it. There have been some posts on here about how it has recovered in the upper reaches , acid mine drainage was the problem and as the mills and mines closed it recovered somewhat. I sure wish i could find out where on the Conemaugh that was.

Osprey,

The caption under the video should help narrow it down:

"Canoeing on the beautiful trip to Saltsburg from the Conemaugh Dam, we discovered Tunnleton Liquids Co. discharging Marcellus Shale frac water into the Conemaugh, the entire area smelled badly of chemicals.

Below the frac discharge, there was a brown froth that covered the river the whole way to Saltsburg, and kids swimming in it along the way. One wonders what this does to fish and other acquatic species on the Conemaugh and Kiski Rivers. This should be stopped."

On sal's video...wondering why they thought it was frack fluid as opposed to some other pollution...
