First Opening day with a fly rod!!! |

Today was my first opening day that i used a fly rod. I fished for a couple hours with no luck so i decided do just walk upstream until none was around. I finally found a deep hole all to myself and bought 4 Rainbows Nymphing. Anyone else first time on opening day with a fly rod? I was pretty excited. caught them all on hares and and one on a stone fly.

Max size on the pics can only be 150 k. You need to resize the pics to have them fit. If you don't have software to do that, PM me and I'll give you a hand via email.
It was my first opening day with a fly rod even though I spent it on the Little Lehigh. Got a nice bow thanks to the Foxgap239 taking the time to instruct a bunch of foxlets this afternoon. Congrats on what sounds like a good day for you! Bet you're glad you took that stroll!  Dave Quote:

XnView is free software you can use to downsize an entire batch of photos at once. After you save them in a smaller size you can use photobucket to upload all your pics and then paste the image code in your post to display the photos inline.

Well done TK. Going out on opening day and catching trout on fly fishing (FFing) gear is a great confidence builder, esp for an angler who has long since been fishing with spin or bait.

Ive been using a spin caster since i could walk and changing over to fly rod is just awesome. I know both my Grand dads used to fly fish and i thought it would be great to take after them and learn. I know both of them are watching over me as i walk every step in these streams. Hopefully i can keep them proud and keep catching the fish. Heres one more from the other day. hope you enjoy.
