The International Fly Tying Symposium

What's the difference in this one vs. the one in January?

The one in January is general FF. This event is dedicated to fly tying only.

I'll be there.

fwiw, Admission fee:

Saturday, $15
Sunday, $12

Weekend Pass, $20

Wish this wasn't so far away. I'd really like to make it. Does anyone know of a good resource for the dates of Western PA Fly fishing/tying shows?

Just saw another show in NJ - whats up with that?!

Somerset is a big FF show location. Very close to major populated areas, and not too far from the north jersey/NE PA hunting and fishing areas, as well as a strong contingent of saltwater FFers.

Ernie- there is a big show in Cranberry called "Cabin Fever" at a Four Point Sheraton right off 79 and the turnpike.

It is held in March I think.

It has guest speakers on guided trips, destinations, fly tying etc....

The admission is like $10 ?? not sure though.

Saw 3-4 board members there last year.

Booths with vendors, guides and experts of every kind.

Cabin Fever Show

I would be remiss if I did'nt mention it is a fundraiser for Penns Woods West TU.

And admission I think was $7.

FYI- the next PWWTU meeting on Nov 9th has the father and son team that did the 50 waters in 50 days thing. Thought it was crazy at first then found out it was a fundraiser but I really dont know all the details.

That sounds great - I remember hearing about that last year the weekend after it happened. I will definitely be there this year, no doubt.

Also - there may be a chance I will hit this (Symposium).
