Mark your calendars! August 17th, the Cresson American Legion will be holding its annual memorial bike run in honor of the late Ed Eckenrode. This year, Project Healing Waters Altoona/Hollidaysburg was selected as the recipient of the proceeds. More details will be coming soon. Registration in the morning, followed by the run to various local VFW's and Legions. After the run, Cresson Legion will have food, drinks, and likely some live music. There will also be a 50/50 drawing and a basket raffle. You don't have to be a biker to enjoy the run. Cars and trucks are welcome too. Last year, about 80 bikes showed up and a great time was had by all. Hopefully we can grow this memorial run even larger this year. It's a great cause for an amazing group of veterans and is put on by an outstanding group of Legion members to honor one of their own. Hopefully some of you local guys will be able to make it out.
