For those of you on the western side of the state, you might be interested in a bus trip that the Penn's Woods West chapter of Trout Unlimited is putting together to the Little Juniata on May 21. It's $55 if you register before May 1, and departs from two locations in Pittsburgh. More details at the chapter website:

Does that come with a voucher for free flies or lunch at least?

Reminds you of a casino bus trip, no? They have launched a big investigation in Philly/NJ area due to these buses crashing like crazy lately.

If it wasn't DURING the JAM I'd be all over that. Great idea. No details as to how long the stay is. I could car pool for less than $55 a person though.

I was thinking to take my wife but she was laughing...

I will make sure I don't fish the J that day. Bus load of fisherman... No thanks.

good lord now they're busing them to the little J ??? Pretty soon you'll have to stop and pay admission at the baree bridge

For what it's worth, I think the trip is being limited to a capacity of 25. We may only end up with 15 or 20, so I don't think it's going to be that big of a circus.

Steve, good luck with the affair. As was mentioned, it is during our annual Jamboree and many of us will be in central PA for that event anyway. I think nothing of driving to the Little Juniata River any given day of fishing (I'm from due south of Pittsburgh myself), so a bus junket isn't necessary for me.

I didn't mean to disparage your event and I think it is a great thing for those who don't get to the LJ often. As was noticed by JDaddy, I was just joking how it sounded like the bus trips to Atlantic City that usually induce riders by offering a lunch voucher and free gambling tokens. Once again, best of luck. You should be there prime-time for some nice hatches.

No worries. Thanks Jack. I've never had the chance to fish out there myself, so it's a good opportunity for me. I'm actually going to start digging for hatch information/old reports on this board now.

Steve -

Be sure to have #14 sulphers with you then.

This bus trip originally used to go to the little j years ago. But has been going to spring creek recently

Didn't they use to do a trip to the Breeches, a few years back?
