On the advice of several board members, fished the yough this past weekend. First time.....thanks for the tips everyone.

My dad is a slowpoke so we didn't get until late on fri. Fished meadow run for about 2 hrs before dark. Very low and muddy. I think they stocked all the fish in the one hole that was deeper than a foot and I caught 2 on a sulfur stimulator. Stopped back the next morning at 9:30 the water was 65 deg already and I saw two trout looking listless in the back of the pool and left.

On saturday started at daybreak till 11 at Confluence and caught a 14" rainbow on a olive soft hackle behind a bridge. Water 47 deg and clear. Fished from about 3-6 and caught a rainbow and a very nice brown that I lost while netting both on a BHHE below a sulfur stimulator. No risers and no hatches. Then went about 1/2 mile down from ramcat access and fished till dark. Scant BWO spinner fall. Caught no fish, no fish rising.

Today, fished from about 8:30 till 10:30 at confluence. About a dozen fisherman in my one caught anything. Occasional mayfly here and there but no risers. Water clear and 46 deg.

First time here, seems like when water is up for rafters the higher colder water puts a damper on fishing, at least above the confluence. Had a great time though, and got my dad to try flyfishing.
