Ants seem to be a surface ticket. i visited this stream in a group of three various days in october. we caught various fish on various flies. most of the fish caught were old and a few large ones. deep colored rainbows. two on a olive flash bugger and one on a brown caddis emerger. san jaun worms produced. mostly pink ones. cream colored meta eggs caught a few fish. white wooly buggers also produced a few fish. midge larva patterns are also working. good luck to everyone as the weather gets cold. the fishing is gonna get hot, but make sure you stay warm! whisky will do the trick
