First off I wanna say that its been a busy summer and a long hiatus since I last fished. So to get out, have success, and put up a post is a good feeling.

Secondly, even though this post is mainly about Pine Creek, I actually started my day at Slippery Rock Creek from noon till 5:30. Water was still high from the heavy rains and muddy. It was manageable to fish but I didn't even get a nibble.

So I decided to try Pine Creek. It was about 6:30 by the time I started. Wasn't expecting much with how things went at Slippery Rock. I Was slinging an olive-x caddis with a prince nymph underneath. Nailed a bunch of mini smallmouth's about 4-5 inches in length which I was happy for, but I was pleasantly surprised when I caught 2 bows!! I didn't expect that at all this far into summer but it sure made for one hell of a 4th of July

With all of the rain we've been getting, I'm not surprised to hear that some trout have been holding on in pine creek.
Nice going!
