The first fall trout outing. Water was perfect in flow, temperature and clarity. Had your standard stocked fall trout success with landed fish on the usual beadheads and junk flies. Although most of my success came from jigging and stripping small streamers.

Also the first day out i get to witness the first dombass with 3 trout on his stringer.

Mute,
I saw the same thing. Stopped by Pickering at about 1700 to wet a line quickly and saw a guy with a few (3 or 4) trout on a stringer upstream from me. When he saw me he exited the creek and re-appeared down stream.

If you see the stringer out call Bob Bonney - he is the very responsive WCO for that area. His phone # is on VFTU website or I'm sure can be googled.

I hit it today and got a bunch of fish, but it's certainly not loaded with fish - few were 14" and chunky. was nice to find fish not their usually holds, as well. I caught a guy keeping a fish as well and informed him of the regs, so he put it back. he just put it on the stringer, hopefully it didn't damage its gills. he honestly didn't know - I think its time to put up so more signs, like at every hole. Think PFBC will give us some signs and let us post the sh!t out of the place? signs may not help for the blanant poachers, but at least it'll work for the ill-informed.
