Stopped off at the Little Lehigh to fish the C&R FFO section downstream of Fish Hatchery Road. Fished from 2:30PM-3:45PM hooking only 1 small rainbow on a size 20 black zebra midge with a black bead head. Fishing pressure was heavy, heavier than usual for this popular stretch of water. Water clarity was crystal clear and most fish could be seen throughout this section of creek hugging the bottom. Some smaller fish appeared to be feeding in the current a few inches under the surface of the water. My guess is they were taking midge larvae. I only saw two rises while fishing this stretch of creek.

SCA,
You mention the heavy fishing pressure.....Were you aware there was a gathering of the members of this forum?

Head count showed at least 33 people including 2 women. It was a great time for all.

I was not aware of a gathering as I am new to the forum. That would explain the higher than usual head count on the stream! I hope everyone had a great time and was able to hook some fish.

One of those was Larissa Becker, and thus wasn't actually a woman.

FWIW, there was a sweet little hatch of something 'bout 4:30 or so in the afternoon when everyone else had gone home. If it wasn't cold and dark, I'd have thought it was a BWO.

Definatly not stones, I'd have recognized that.

I can't say I can safely indentify an inflight midge, but this sure looked like a mayfly to me.

What a fine piece of decision making by the PFBC. Just go yank some signs down without checking with the Parks Department. You guys didn't even have the common courtesy of informing them of your decision. Your victory may be short lived.

What were the reasons for the change?

BTW, I'm not necessarily opposed. I don't live near there, and I'm basically nuetral. Just curious about the reasons for the decision.
