Hi All,

Had some time to get out mid-day on 8/22, so I decided a little Rock Bass fishing would be good. Since my home creek S. Codorus has not been kind to me on the WW side this year I headed over to E. berlin to fish the Conewago. I started about 12:15 and fished til 3:30 hitting the creek near the rt 234 bridge, fishing below the dam.

Water was cool, air was warm 85 or so, partly cloudy.

I was not dissapointed! Caught 30-40 Rock Bass from 4 to 10 inches as well as 15 or so Red-breast. BHWB size 8 either olive or black was what they could not resist. Hitting slightly deeper pockets ( most of this streach is less then a foot deep, but 2-3 foot deep pockets every 20-30 yards or more was where the fish held up especially down-stream from the bridge and below second dam. Slow sweep nice and deep and just one fish after another.

Got 3 bonus smallies all under 10 inches.

Good fishing

I love doing that. Should have done it on the Conodoguinet yesterday, instead of spending five hours- okay, six hours- thrashing around the LeTort. Talk about an exercise in futility.

I was on the Connie yesterday. You didn't miss anything. It's treated me fairly well this summer, but not yesterday. Very low and clear.
