Well, not a whole lot has changed since the last post. We still have lower than average water during the week, but the fishing hasn't suffered any. If anything, the river has been fishing better during the week while the water levels are stable. Weekend fishing has been unpredictable: two Saturdays ago we had a fourty fish day with two fish over twenty inches on dries and four or five that were seventeen inches or better; while just this past Saturday we had a guides day off, and with the exact same conditions (seemingly), we only had around fifteen fish to the boat by the end of the day--go figure!

Dry fly fishing has been productive: attractor dries like stimulators and wulff patterns with nymphs dropped below have been catching quite a few fish.

We've also had some inexplicable (and sweet!) sunny, mid-day bwo hatches that have been bringing some nice fish to the top.

Quick tip: If you find rising fish and can't figure out what they're taking, look at the water. We've been finding nice pods of fish working spent crane flies in the film. Most of them have been yellow and between 16-18 in size.

Goog look out there,
