West Branch and Main Stem Susquehanna

I was able to get out and fish the Susquehanna this past weekend with family and friends.

There is actually some water in there now!!!! The W.B. was very slightly colored, and the main stem at Sunbury (East side of the river) had a couple feet of visibility. The extra water and slight coloration turned the fish on.

There were plenty of bass busting shiners to make things interesting (at the dams), along with the occasional walleye and channel catfish.

White Floating Minnows tied with synthetic hair, Wiggle-Mites, and white zonker style flies worked well.

Best of Luck,
Michael Foreman
