Well, it's been a month since the last post. We've been on the river every weekend since then, and the fishing has been pretty good. Now that the river is cooling down some, the trout are starting to move into their colder water lies, and deep nymphing and swinging buggers near the bottom has been pretty productive of late. On sunny days, and we've had our share, there have been some mid-day olive and slate drake hatches that have prodeced some decent dryfly fishing, though only the smaller fish have been after them. It seems like the big guys--and gals--have other things on their minds right now, and that's ok--they'll still hit the streamers pretty readily. Mid-day fishing the past couple of weeks has been best and the fishing seems to continue right on into evening.

So, that's probably the last report of the season. Not that the fishing is over, they'll be there all winter.

Have fun out there, and be safe.

Matt- it is a bottom release dam and can be fished all year. Access can be gain via a bike path the follows the entire river.

I feel the best fishing is from Connellesville upriver to the dam. (about 20 miles)
