The Middle Yough
For those of you who don't know who we are, we run a drift boat guide service on the Middle.
The Middle has been fishing well. Lower than average water flows have brought the river to a nice level for wade-fishing throughout the week--look for higher water on the weekends as water is released for rafters on the Lower.
Nymphing and streamer fishing have both been productive of late.
The low water also seems to have the fish looking up throughout the day. Try a big attractor with a nymph dropped below it. Fish this rig in and around current seams and other holding water-- you might just wind up with your best dryfly fish of the season.
For a more detailed report, check out the website.
Good luck, and have fun on the river.
