11-24-06 Lake Erie tribs steelhead report
Sorry I haven't reported in a couple of weeks. I was out of town last weekend, and we've been so busy I just haven't had the chance to sit down and do it. We are hearing good reports from the anglers. Fish are spread throughout the creeks and right now smaller baits such as single eggs, shiners, and maggots seem to work the best. All creeks are low and clear as we haven't had any rain in a while. But the larger tribs such as Elk of course are getting the best reports. Dan Seaman from Elk Creek sports is reporting that he has been seeing the biggest fish so far this year. Someone brought in a 15 1/2 lber. Several 12 and 13 pounders have been brought in. Right now the weather is nice and bright and in the low to mid 50s. Possible rain is forecasted for next week. There appears to be a continual movement of fish right now so keep the bait flyin and the steelhead jumpin.
