Fished Lake Arthur Friday evening for a few hours.Been fly fishing for 35 years, I don't think I ever caught such a variety of fish in such a short span of time. All on a chartruese clouser, all wading ... in just two different locations. I was using a 7weight with a floating line. Pretty cool I thought.

In just a few hours of fishing, I caught:

4 hybid stripers 12 - 20"
Dozens of bluegills... no runts, many covered the palm of my hand.
1 largemouth bass around 13"
1 channel cat around 20"
1 very nice perch over 12"
And one small walleye at dusk

Nice sounds like a blast

That pattern has caught many, many fish for me (both warmwater and coldwater). Of all the Clouser minnow colors, that on just slays 'em!

Right now appears to be "prime time" at the lakes. Lots of fish are in the "shallows" at Marburg as well. It won't be long before they start returning to the depths of the lake.

Geo, has Marburg returned to summer pool yet?

It is close to full pool. Most of the shoreline has just a couple feet of exposed bottom before you hit vegetation.

Dave's right. It's not quite full yet with several feet of exposed shoreline. If we don't get some consistent rain, it may not hit summer pool...

I haven't fished Codorus lately, but have been hearing reports of it being very low.
