Sandfly,
Those game changers look awesome. What material did you tie them with, marabou and Bucktail? I have the shanks to make them but have been holding off because I wasn't sure what I wanted to tie them with.

Nice ties Sandfly. Is that slider pattern a foam head?

Could be a long shot but it kinda looks like the plastic insert from an OJ carton to me haha. Awesome flies! Those sucker patterns are wicked

Thought I would bring this thread back and see what everyone is tying. I havent had any luck with the toothies, but I have tied some flies up. Ive been tying up a hangtimes with laserdub heads and for some reason they walk the dog under water really well. Some are articulated and some are singles. All look great in the water. I also tied buck tail on a game changer in perch and I like how it looks. I'm running out of good bucktail so I tied a fly with a little of everything to make an "Ugly fly". Well it worked... Ugliest fly I've ever tied

Great ties brother, I'm a big fan of the black and pink. Quick question was the difference between the beuford and the bohen 747? They look very similar to me

There's a big difference between the two. Here's two pics of bohens 747. Resized Image

The 747 have 4 rudder feathers upfront behind the head.
The Buford's have just 1 on each side.

The game changer concept kinda took over after seeing Blane Chockletts musky size ones. I got on the bender and bent some of my own up. There .5, .75, 1.25, 2 inches long. Resized Image

This is a great thread. Haven't read through it all yet, but it reminds me how helpful this place has been for me over the past 6 or more years.

Just bought a Cabela's CGR #7/8 and I'm determined to try to land my first musky on the fly. Caught one on spin gear last year and what a thrill.

Hey PACO

What gauge / kind of wire are you showing. What is the device that is being used, referred to as a "bender".

I went to 2 of Blane's presentations TCO shops last weekend...!
He is featured in current Fly Fisherman issue.

Great info provided by him...and easy to talk to. His flies were very sparse and light weight.
