I subscibe to the Midcurrent newsletter, and this was one of the topics this week. Tying saltwater flies on jig hooks, here's the link to the Article. I found it interesting and thought I'd share it with those who don't get the newsletter.

I have been using jig hooks for fly tying for years. They produce a fly that rides hook up very well. If you combine them with dumbbell weights they work even better. I find them especially good for saltwater crab flies
