I'm not sure I agree with his logic, nothing moves in the water like marabou, just because he doesn't want to straighten out the tail he reccomends using squirrel tail, and I disagree with his logic regarding the way a bass will take the popper.

One thing I always look for in a popper is some rubber legs, I know the smallies in the Susquehanna love them. Conditions always vary and the bass and weather will help you determine what style popper and how to work it, not any convenience factor.
