Found last year's young flatheads in the Pequea Creek, Lancaster Co today, about a mile or so up from the mouth. While eventual movement of flatheads into the tribs of the Susquehanna would be expected, it is still the first time that we have found them in the Pequea. Previously we had found adults in Codorus Creek within about four miles of York, but the density was very low. The density of young flatheads in Pequea was low today as well. They were outnumbered by young channel cats by about 5 to 1. Have yet to find them in the Conestoga R. at our sampling site near Millersville, but it almost a sure thing that they are elsewhere in this stream. Any info on angler catches of these fish in other tribs would be welcomed. I have already heard that they are in the (West) Conewago.
