Going to northern Pa. in a few weeks.
Looking at Cowanesque lake - routes 49 & 15.

Has anyone ever waded there? Is there decent access?

Looking for bass.

Thanks.

Tom

not much on wading, better off fishing the spillway (smallies and musky) and river to the NY border.. tioga river from spillway down to Ny is a good place for bass, stripers, walleye, and musky.

Pine is good for smallies too...they are taking crawfish (clousers) along with poppers. most fish are small but there are some that go over 4lb.

Dear Tom,

If you have a float tube there are some nice coves with standing timber to fish along the south shoreline. You'll find bass, bluegill and crappies in the coves.

You will probably find better wade fishing along the north shoreline but I'll admit I never tried to wade in Cowanesque.

Regards,

Tim Murphy :)

Dear Tim murphy,
The north shore drops a lot faster than the south side...Lots of trees up close to..Belly boating could be chancy with all the speed boats rippin up the lake...Upper end has a lot of stick ups unseen under water..
