salted minnows for smallmouth?

has anybody ever used the salted minnow technic for smallmouth?anddoes it work? i like fishing smallmouth in the summer when there in the riffles. has anybody tried it? thanx jz.

Just once...I didn't wash my hands after polishing off the crumbs from bag of chips in my pocket and then tied on a bugger. Talk about your greased leader. I think they prefer nacho cheese though.
