I just perused the Lost & Found forum and thought I'd pass along what I do to increase the odds of getting my things back when I drop them...
Every year TU sends me a sheet of return address labels, presumably to be used in the event that I actually mail a letter through USPS.
Instead, I use those labels on nets, fly boxes, wading staff, etc. They're paper labels so they do wear down and are subject to water damage but I cover them with a piece of scotch tape and figure it's better than not labeling.
