Would be better if you could find a denser foam It would hold the hooks allot better plus last longer

I was going to order the empty box and put foam in. I was going to get some of these.

6 tiles should last a lifetime.

Maybe I'll post a tutorial JohnnyUtah style and take all the credit for it.

If you guys are looking for foam, look no further than this:

Already has slots and adhesive on the back. It is fantastic for holding big streamers. They also make a "bugger beast" type box that is a little less expensive:

Thanks for the tip!!

Box = $10
Glue = $3
Two foam sheets = $2

$15 at Michaels, and here's the results.

Michaels is a maze. It took me a solid 15 minutes to find it. I have no idea if it's laid out the same, but the boxes were in the back of the store on the right, near the easels and whatnot.

Nice work!

How would you describe the structural integrity of said box?

Jay,

I have the exact same setup that I use for my kayak fishing and it has worked well. The box with foam sheet has held up well with no problems. It sure is nice for larger flies and all the topwater bass flies!

I scoped out the box the other night and am planning an add a leaf mod to my box. If someone is interested I'll post it.
