Thanks for the heads up. The day after christmas I went to the Orvis store in Downingtown and picked up a 9ft 5wt ZeroG on sale. That is one sweet rod. If the 8'6" 4wt drops to $185 it will be very hard to pass up, that's a tremendous price for a rod of that quality.

I found this site has similar prices and actually has fly line in sizes over 3wt.

Good links.

I've found that wonderline is pretty dreadful stuff, but it might be worth another shot if it's cheap.

As to a new rod... I'm just going to have to be strong here.
