I purchased this saddle a little while ago from J Stockard, and I was really excited to get it and tie with it. I did manage to tie up a few elk hair caddis, but after trying to use it a couple more times, I realized that the hackle sizes are too small for the flies I typically tie. I thought that the saddle would give me mostly #14's and #16's, but I'm sitting here trying to find another #14, and I can't! Most of the hackles are around 18-20, with a rare 16, and 22. Too small! But if someone has a use for such small ginger hackle, I would love to trade it for a saddle with larger feathers, or a ginger cape. I'd also be willing to sell it.
